This project would cost approximately $35.00.  It took about 2 hrs to cross-stitch, and about 1 hr to sew together.  The rest of the cost is in materials used which include:  front and back materials, stuffing, and threads.

Other materials such as cording or ruffle would add to the cost.

This design took approximately 1½ hrs to stitch and would cost about $30.00.

The following four pictures are a book done in cross-stitch.  Page "A" took 12 hrs, page "B" took 23½ hrs, page "C" took 19½ hrs, and Page "D" took 19¼ hrs to complete.  Total labor cost is $148.50.  Supplies and making it into a book are additional costs.
